We are also able to supply a full
range of domestic staff including House Managers, Butlers,
PAs, Housekeepers, Couples, Chefs, Yacht Crew etc.
All Nannies applying to join
Simply Angelic are interviewed, qualifications and
references are verified where possible, and we also ask for
proof of identity and see original driving licence and
passport for identification. We are a CRB registered
organisation, and can assist the candidates in applying for an
up to date CRB check, but as we are not the employer we can
not force a candidate to undertake the checks (although the
vast majority of nannies do realise the importance of current
CRB checks). We will, however, keep you advised as to the
status of the nanny.
On receipt of your completed
Family Registration Form, we will contact you to discuss your
requirements in more detail and so accurately understand your
expectations of the Nanny as well as any specific requirements
that you may have, e.g. special diet, etc. There is no
registration fee, only a placement fee should a suitable
candidate be placed with your family. (see Terms and
Conditions)
We will then discuss your
position with candidates that we feel may be suitable, and we
will email details of those that express interest – This way
you know that the details that you receive are only of
candidates already interested in the position that you offer,
thus saving you time and the annoying process of
selecting unsuitable candidates.
At this point, you can choose to
either telephone interview or meet up with any of our
candidates. Once the interviews have commenced we would then
contact you and the candidate for feedback. If both parties
are interested in progressing further we would suggest a
second interview, i.e.. to meet the children and go over the
finer details. If the position is offered to the candidate and
the candidate accepts we will then discuss Contracts, Tax and
National Insurance along with any other questions you may both
have. We have an excellent sample contract that can be used if
required.
As an employer you will be
required by law to pay your nanny's Tax and National
Insurance. (All salaries quoted for Nannies are expressed as a
Net figure) This can be done either by contacting the Inland
Revenue who will send you a starter pack to complete or
alternatively we can recommend a specialist company
that deal with all tax issues on your behalf, including P60's
and monthly pay slips. You can view details of your potential
total costs of employing a Nanny in the UK by clicking

A daily nanny qualified
or experienced comes to your home each day, either full time
or part time. Full time nannies usually work around 10-11
hours per day (typically from 7.30am-6.30pm), depending on
circumstances. Their main work will consist of nursery duties,
if any light housework is required this must be arranged at
interview (most qualified nannies will only do nursery
duties). Baby-sitting is usually paid extra unless agreed by
prior arrangement. If the nanny will be using her own car for
work, a mileage allowance is normally agreed between both
parties. Would typically earn £400-500 npw live-out in London,
slightly less outside London.
A live in nanny
will generally work between 10 and 12 hours per day. Should
more hours be required this must be discussed and agreed at
interview. Baby-sitting can be included within the salary,
normally 1 or 2 weekday evening, extra evenings should be
agreed at interview. Accommodation provided is generally own
bedroom and bathroom and the cost of all food and bills
(excluding telephone). The majority of nannies would also have
full use of a car on and off duty. Would typically earn
£275-350 npw, live-in.
Can be either Live-in
or Daily (usually Live-in), and will carry out duties as
above, but also carry out some non-child related duties around
the home, e.g. some washing, cleaning, ironing cooking etc.
Would typically earn £250-350npw, live-in.
Mother's Help/Junior Nanny
Can be either live-in or Daily,
but usually live-in. May be a newly qualified Nanny with
little sole charge experience, or an experienced aupair
looking for a first 'Nanny' position. Will have a good
attitude and be able to have some periods of sole charge, but
will require more supervision than an experienced/qualified
nanny. They would typically earn £150-250npw, live-in, or
£6-7nph, live-out.
